Cosplay Tutorial: Paint Water Wig Dying
Step 1:
Heat water to to just below the point of boiling. It should be warm enough to see steam, but not hot enough to burn you.
Step 2:
Step 2: Prepare your desired paint. The more pain you use the more saturated the color will be. In this tutorial orange acrylic paint was used.
Step 3:
Combine the hot water and paint. Mix well to make sure the paint is fully dissolved.
Step 4:
At this point add the wig or weft into the mixture and allow to sit at least 5 minutes for the lightest shade. The longer you let the wig sit in the mixture the more saturated it will become.
Step 6:
Once the color is at the desired level rinse the wig or weft in cold water until the water runs clear. This weft was left in the paint and water mixture for about 30 minutes. The wig shouldn't be crunchy or feel more damaged than before it was placed into the mixture.
