Widowmaker
Widowmaker is a playable character in first-person shooter video game Overwatch. Member of the sinister group Talon, Widowmaker was a trained ballerina turned sniper. Warped by her time as an experiment, Widowmaker was made to be unfeeling. She is cold and calculated and one of the only characters capable of taking down another character at full health in one shot.

played Overwatch for the first time because they wanted to cosplay a different Widowmaker outfit. They thoroughly enjoyed the game and continued making Overwatch cosplays.

@cosplayatlas was friends with cosplayers in high school, but didn't really get into it until after college. They watched a friend stitch up the final pieces of a Boruto cosplay and thought that it seemed like a fun hobby.
Their first cosplay was Rogue from animated series X-Men Evolution in 2017. They wore the cosplay to a small convention in Minneapolis along with their friends, who were cosplaying Nightcrawler and Jean Grey from the same series.
Recently, @cosplayatlas is planning to work to refine their sewing skills. They want to take on more embroidery and quilting projects in 2023. They are hoping to compete in a lip sync competition in the new year and compete again in the Winter Cosplay Championship.
Check out St. Pete Comic Con this January 7-8! Kick off the new year with this second-year comic convention located in St. Petersburg, Florida. @cosplayatlas will be judging the craftsmanship competition on January 7th.
Lucifer
Obey Me! Shall We Date?
Lucifer is a central character in Otome phone game Obey Me? Shall We Date! He is the oldest of seven demon brothers, and works with some success to keep his brothers in line. He takes his role in the demon world seriously, serving the demon-world's Prince, Lord Diavolo.
@cosplayatlas is cosplaying Lucifer's Pirate Look from an in-game event. The entire outfit is handmade. @cosplayatlas enjoys translating outfits from flat 2-d designs to adding texture in textile choice. They enjoyed getting to add burn out velvet, hand beading, and textured fabric to this cosplay.
Dahlia Aquino
Monster Prom
Dahlia is a romanceable character in indie dating simulator game Monster Prom. In the game, you have to romance a character at monster school and invite them to Prom - at your own peril. Dahlia is unlockable during the game's "second term" expansion release. She is an aggressive demon who wants to take over the 8th circle of Hell. Dahlia has a major rivalry with the son of the current rulers, Damien Lavey.
@cosplayatlas made the cosplay. They used EVA foam coated in wood glue to craft the horns from one of Kamui Cosplay's horn templates. The horns are hollow, but the base has a layer of fabric that was sewn to the wig so it can be reused. The sweatshirt is also home-made with plush fabric perfect for colder weather.

Favorite Conventions
"My favorite convention is Convergence in Minnesota. The convention has an older population with more of a comic-book focus, but it is a volunteer-run passion project. The convention makes it fun to volunteer a couple of hours and then keep on with the party - from absolutely amazing themed party rooms to fun events such as fantasy-themed spelling bees. The convention is very clearly a product of love."
Advice For New Cosplayers
"Find something you're passionate about. It's easier to feel engaged by a design you love, or a character you adore. Learn from your peers in skill and motivation."
